With kick off in Zurich against France nearing, both sides should be in with a chance of progressing. The two European nations that have won the World Cup most recently battling to reach the knock out stages of the tournament. Yet, in reality, if Romania manage to beat Holland, who have already qualified, then the result in Zurich will be irrelevant.
Maldini stated today that if Romania do get a result this evening then Van Basten will not become manager of AC Milan. Italy should not be making these idle threats as if they had performed then their fate could be within their own hands. I hope the Dutch win and Italy progress by beating France.
